We’re celebrating “75 years of the Swiss School Rome”

The Swiss School Rome is celebrating its 75th anniversary – in the attendance of Federal Councillor Alain Berset.

The Swiss School Rome is one of 18 Swiss schools abroad. On Schweizer Radio und Fernsehen, Dr Marc König, adviser of the firm and at that time Rector of the Swiss School Rome, discusses the advantages of attending the Swiss School Rome. It encourages multilingualism (English, French and Italian are taught in addition to German) and helps children become more independent and autonomous, preparing them for life in a global world. The pupils at the Swiss School Rome complete the Federal Academic Baccalaureate, which allows them to study at Swiss universities.

Several politicians as well as friends and family of the Swiss School Rome were at the wonderful celebration on 13 May 2022. The Swiss School Rome is a home away from home for Swiss pupils during their time abroad, and the school and Switzerland become the seconda casa for Italian children, current and former, through their school years as well.
